Features:

The dimensions of this phone are as follows: 4.37” × 2.44” × 0.57” and weighs not more than 161 g. Though the dimensions are for when the phone is closed and compact, this is how you are going to carry most of the time. The phone has both onscreen and off-screen QWERTY keyboard. The phone is made of either of a 3.2” Transmissive TFT LCD VGA display screen or a HVGA with light sensing and proximity detecting screen.

Memory is the one that differentiates the performance of the phone and makes torch 9810 much superior to torch 9800. While the former has an 8GB onboard memory, the latter is nowhere near with only 512 MB. Both the models supports 32 GB microSD card and comes with a 4 GB media card. Besides, they support audio, video and picture files in various numbers of formats.

Some of the other interesting features in the latest 9810 model are the presence of a 5 MP camera, HD video recording with Flash and digital Zoom, continuous auto focus, face detection, image stabilization, geo-tagging, multiple picture taking modes and zero shutter lag.

Connectivity solutions will include the use of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS navigation and much more. The phone also has the port for 3.5mm headset jack to listen to music and built-n speakerphone, all being backed by BlackBerry OS 6 and 1270 mAh rechargeable battery.

Review:

What is good about this phone is that, I will instantly bet on the massive internal memory that the phone is offering, besides the performance of its all-new OS 6. This OS 6 platform brings to the performance of this phone with better user interface, universal search, improved browser and multimedia experience. The next thing that will strike me is the combination of the QWERTY and on screen QWERTY keyboards, making typing a pleasant experience.

What is not good about this phone is that the phone is sluggish offering a lower resolution screen, which minimizes the goodness of the phone’s main memory. The phone’s camera can only shoot VGA or HVGA videos, while we are living in the era of HD movies. Besides, new applications downloaded could be saved only in the main memory, which could corrupt the phone if you are going to try an unauthorized application.

Tagline: Overall, with all the performance of BlackBerry Torch on OS 6, is much better and the necessary incorporations has been made to gain better customer satisfaction in 9810 model, which was a lag in 9800 model. This is worth the money spent on the new BlackBerry Torch 9810 model.

Nice review but personally i think Blackberry should change how they design their phones. They are way behind from other mobile companies like iPhone and Samsung. They have to catch up with the latest trend today since most people prefer phones that have a wide range of functionality. Great post by the way!
