Every year we hear rumours that Apple will release a low cost iPhone but this time rumours are getting strong. AllThingsD and many other tech sites like Tech Crunch, 9To5Mac have confirmed from their reliable sources that Apple will be holding an event on September 10.
On September 10 Apple will be releasing the new flagship device iPhone 5S which will be an upgraded model of iPhone 5. While this time Apple will release iPhone 5C – an affordable version – which will be made for emerging markets like China and India specifically.
What do we know about iPhone 5S?
This year’s upgraded model of iPhone will include all those features which are missing in present flagship device. Such as rumours are that this year’s flagship will support larger size display which will be 4.3-inch with Retina Display. Phone will run on all new A7 processor which is likely to be produced by Samsung. Though earlier there were rumours that Apple will switch to TSMI for its processor but it seems that at this point of time only Samsung can fulfil the requirements of Apple. iPhone 5S will support 1 GB of RAM, at first sight you may see there is no increase in RAM but change lies beneath earlier iPhone 5 has 1GB DDR2 RAM while upcoming iPhone 5S will have 1 GB DDR3 RAM.
There will 13-Mega pixel shooter at rear with dual LED Xenon flash light. Also the camera will feature slow video recording feature named “Mozul”. This all new camera will be capable of recording videos at 60 frames per second right now only few devices can do so such as Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Zoom and Go Pro. In case of storage rumours are that this year we will see 128 GB model of iPhone 5S with other variants as 32 and 64 GB respectively.
As far as the colours go there will be standard black and white option but along with this Apple will release all new champagne variants or we say gold iPhone. What’s special in low cost iPhone 5C?
Now we come to most rumoured device about which we have been hearing from long and this year we might see it. Basically iPhone 5C will be iPhone 5 with downgraded specifications such as no Siri, plastic body and more. iPhone 5C will support 8 Megapixel camera similar to one found in iPhone 5. Then the screen size will be 5-inch and some A6 processor will be there to power the phone as rumoured. Of course it will have 1 GB of RAM. Phone will come in 16, 32 and 64 GB models. Features which make it different are there will be no Siri which will differentiate from high end models. Plastic body is another feature which will have rounded edges as found in iPhone 3GS. Though due to plastic body device is thicker and heavier but it will solve the purpose. Another thing which will make iPhone 5C success is availability in multiple colours such as red, blue, green, yellow and white.
