- First tap on Menu on the phone’s home page
- Then, locate the ‘Email’ option and tap on it
- Go to the desirable account so that you can configure SMTP
- Then, go to the ‘Menu’ tab and tap for ‘Options’
- Next, go to ‘Account Settings’ and tap
- Scroll to ‘Outgoing Settings’ and tap
- The present SMTP setting will appear, alter them as per your requirement
- In the required slot, type the server name given to you in the confirmation mail
- Go to the ‘Port’ field and enter ‘25’
- Go to ‘Security type’ and change it to ‘None’
- Go to the option which reads ‘Sign In’ and tick
- In the required fields, enter the server’s username and password
- Tap on ‘Next’
- Then, your phone will verify the settings and will redirect you to the ‘Account Settings’
- Here, you need to fill in information like, Incoming server, Outgoing server, Incoming port, Outgoing port, Username and Password
After you fill in the information your SMTP mail server will be configured on your Android phone. Remember to send out a test mail to see if it is working fine. The configuration process is that simple.
