After weeks of rumors, the software giant has finally unveiled its new web browser… That has nothing to do with Internet Explorer.
As part of the conference on Windows 10, which takes place at Microsoft headquarters today, Joe Belfiore presented a project on which his company works for months: a new browser.
Cortana landed not only on PC, but the smart assistant staff will also be integrated with Microsoft Spartan.
Responding to the Spartan code name that browser exploits the Trident rendering engine, developed by Microsoft for Internet Explorer.1 It is doubtful how much experience he will be unlike current web browser of business.
Regarding one of the features of Spartan, rumors have seen the righteous: it will be possible to annotate a Web page to send notes to friends and colleagues, a function that will be powered by the integration of One Drive. Annotated the page and will therefore duplicate One Drive then hosted on behalf of the user in question. Recipients of the shared content may also provide feedback and make new annotations.
The browser also includes a playback mode that downloading web pages that will be available in offline mode – a popular feature at the time when the PC is sporadically logged on to the Internet, but that has been forgotten in recent years as dedicated connections have democratized. At a time when Internet users are becoming more mobile, and sometimes in places where it is impossible to connect to the Internet, this function altogether regained its relevance.
Finally, Cortana landed not only on PC, but the smart assistant staff will also be integrated with Microsoft Spartan. Its use is similar to that of Google Now.
Note that Spartan will not be available immediately. Belfiore suggested that its beta launch could take place “somewhere in the coming months.”
