Star Citizen is Approaching $300 Million Budget

In the current sales event, large ships could be bought in Star Citizen for several hundred euros. With the current free-fly event, the Star-Citizen Team Cloud Imperiumgames has raised a total of almost $300 million. Currently, not only can the game be tried for free, but many ships that are otherwise hardly available can also be bought. These include the Aegis Dynamics Idris and the Javelin, both large combat ships with space for many dozen people and smaller ships. To date, approximately $3.2 million has been raised during the event. The previous week it was $1.2 million.

The Idris frigate is rare to buy

The free fly event runs until the end of June 2, 2020 – extended by one day. It is likely that the space simulation would then have reached $300 million. Ships like the Javelin mentioned currently exist, but are not controllable by players. The smaller Idris frigate is being completed for the release of the Squadron 42 single player campaign. This ship is also not yet finished, although it has already been shown in some show scenes.

With the Alpha 3.9, Star Citizen has introduced skins and colors for its own ships. This means that planes, vehicles and jet bikes can be given a suitable coating. The colors and skins are initially only available from the pledge store from around 5 euros. Later, however, CIG also wants to offer adjustments against the game currency. Currently there is also a land vehicle, the Origin G12, which was introduced with the Alpha 3.9 – but only as a concept. Interested parties can therefore pre-order and use the vehicle when it has been developed, which is common practice in Star Citizen.

The free fly event prominently represents Drake Interplanetary as the last group. Ships of the manufacturer can currently be bought in the store. These include the Cutlass Blue, which is a police ship for one or more people and with a fairly large cargo hold. After June 2, 2020, it will no longer be possible to play the game without a starter pack.
