nokia c101 supports 32GB expandable memory, meaning the memory card (micro sd works),some phones like karbonn k217 wont accept even 512mb micro sd. i own one. Moreover, guys do u know? nokia c101 has email support meaning. it has inbuilt ovimail,including twitter,facebook,yahoo messenger,gmail etc. u can even add more email accounts to it. This is what is called “email supported mobile” this email support uses very less kb so u no need to worry of gprs count.

I was looking for a phone to replace my Nokia 3100 which has been a diehard. After reading the first and only review i took a chance and could not be happier. What made it even better was my wife’s excitement about the phone. She is not very exciteable. So it was a real plus when she told me that she really like the phone. I was just looking for a good basic reliable phone, and got many more features than expected.

It’s my confusion!, I think the contacts able to be saved in micro SD card, but in “Contacts-Settings-Memory in use” no choice for micro SD card. It has the choices for Phone, SIM card, Phone and SIM.

The radio antena is very poor.

I am planning to buy c101 as my backup phone. I already have a Samsung phone but game installation with said phone is very limited. Now, I want to know if 1) Can I install games in c101? and 2) Can I install themes too? In the Nokia website, it said that it doesn’t support games and themes, it is also indicated that themes are already preloaded in the unit.

You’re getting the mesg “contacts not ready” due the following possibilities
1. There are no contacts in the SIM memory (you might have saved all the contacts in the phone memory)
2. Sometimes you get that mesg when you try to open contacts immediately after switching on the phone…so try opening after a few minutes.

Hello! I was greatly amazed that my Nokia C1-01 does not have fm recording as they proclaim. Why is it so and what should I do about that? Am in Kenya and where particularly can I get the one with an Fm Recording Feature? Kindly let me know coz. am stressed by the fact that mine does not have the Fm Recording Feature as I had expected. Also read in the comments that this phone has no DRAFT MESSAGE storing option! Ooops. In that case, can u suggest another mobile that has it? Okay, let me tell you a bit of what I want.
1. I want a low end phone. I was actually considering nokia 100 or 101, since i already have an android.
However c1-01 attracted me! Nice slim and chic looks! And with camera(I thought, why not!).
2. I want a phone for messaging. I used nokia n70 till the beginning of last year. It was great for messaging. As u must be aware, say you begin typing a message… and for some interruption press the CALL END button, the half-written msg would automatically get saved in the draft.
Okay if not that much too for a low end phone… at least tell me one that can store a good number of messages(would be great if like c1-01 they can be stored in memory card), and also has draft msg storing.

If you can spend around 3K-4K then you got to check out the Samsung Chat series phones. These phones offer message storage in memory card. Else if you are ok with storing messages in phone memory, then nokia 1200 or 1208 is the best option.

hey thanks! 🙂 will chk those phones out. sansung chat series phones are nice… but with qwerty keyboard. i want classic ones… alpha numeric keypads. 🙂

Hi I’m looking to buy the nokia c1-01 for my mum. She just wants a basic phone that texts and rings. So this would be great.
But I have just had a little baby and want to send photographs of him to her phone. Will this phone accept pictures sent from an iPhone???

Nope… You can transfer the pics but due to unsupported format, you can’t view it in c101

I am intending to purchase this. I need a basic phone with good battery & network reception! I read in many places, there is an issue with the network reception & the network drops during calls! The phone also seems to hang!
Have you come across these issues when you tested the mobile?

PLS A FOLDER IN MY MEMORY CARD IS NOT DELETING AND ALSO IN THE GAMES. When opened with blueftp it shows but not deleting pls help. SECONDLY, HOW CAN I CHANGE BACK MY FONE VERSION AFTER UPDATE. Thanks u are d best!
