CES – Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is an event that takes place every year in the month of January at Las Vegas. It is a huge technology related show in which various companies around the world present their latest inventions that are build on numerous technologies for the betterment of the society and to give a techno edge to the world. This year CES was held on January 13th 2012

where some very new and exclusive techno gadgets were presented before the audiences and awarded as well. Some of the devices which were truly made for journalists are as follows:-

CES

  1. Sync TDI (Traffic, Directions, Information)

This is a whole new navigation system with its controls on the car dashboard. Produced by the Ford Motor Company this model for routing device is of great use for the journalists as they may need it to run on road to catch a particular event or a show. This system works well to give directions and information about the traffic. It is a perfect example of the real-time systems that are currently in news. Also these are cheap devices that can be fitted in your car perfectly without any additional resources that you might need with such other devices.

  2. iPhone tracking device

Journalists might need the all new tracking system on their iPhones just to keep a track of their victims or knowledge of any other ongoing event at some other place. This tracking system merges well with any of your iPhones, be it Apple or Androids plus it is a global positioning system working directly through the satellite. This works by showing the details on the screen and also giving an indication of the updates. This application can work non-stop for around a week. It has a range of about 300-400 feet.

  3. iPhone body camera

As we have seen in various BOND movies, detectives put camera on their body to record everything they see. Well here’s a new invention from CES that will do exactly the same. It has a strap-on which fits around the body. It can be connected through your mobile so that you can exactly watch what you are recording.

  4. Single battery cell phone

The developers at the CES 2012 have newly produced a single battery powered mobile which will give enough talk time of 10-12 hours and standby time of up to 15 hours. Available in both CDMA and GSM this cell phone will majorly allow journalists to go in areas of low network and yet stay connected.

  5. Interactive Toys

The Wi-Spi is a toy producing company for kids who is majorly producing helicopters and remote control with video devices to capture the images or live feed and send it your mobile or iPad. You can also share these videos on any social networking sites. Thus this important device for journalists has created an excitement among them. Such exclusive inventions not only make their work easy but also encourage them to work more to bring new and true stories to the world.
