Big on features : HTC Desire 816
Design
Most of the designing concept of HTC Desire 816 matches with HTC One, front dual stereo speakers, but Desie 816 has a plastic body as compared to HTC One. Although the HTC Desire 816 is made up of plastic, the quality is pretty good and has a glossy finish, as that of Apple Iphone 5C. It has a 5.5 inch display. Both sides of display are provided with boom sound speakers. This phone also supports front facing 5MP camera and 13MP rear camera with a LED flash.
Power/screen lock and the volume buttons are provided on the left edge of the phone. On the right hand side of the phone, HTC has provided plastic flap which consumes two nano sim card slots and microSD card slot. Out of the two sim card slots, one is for both CDMA-EVDO and GSM-HSPA sim cards and other one is only for GSM sim cards. The top of the phone supports a 3.5 mm jack and bottom of the phone supports micro-USB port.
Display
This phone has a pleasurable big screen which is of 5.5-inch super LCD 2 display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. But the display doesn’t support gorilla glass protection, so if you are buying this phone, then you must cover the screen of the phone with a screen guard.. Due to the big screen size, its a un watching videos and movies on this phone but along with this, single hand usage of the HTC desire 816 becomes a little difficult.
Operating System of HTC Desire 816
HTC Desire is running on android 4.4.2 KitKat. This OS comes with sense 6. This HTC Desire 816 supports new version of HTC’s custom UI. But the Desire 816 doesn’t have support for gestures like ‘double tap to unlock’ and ‘swipe to unlock’ to a home screen.
Camera : Images and Videos
HTC Desire 816 has a 13MP BSI sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 28mm lens. The camera supports 4160 x 3120 pixels. The lens is autofocus and the phone has a LED flash. The phone doesn’t come with HTC image chip, i.e. the phone do not include Zoe mode and it takes some extra time for processing the image after capturing.

Performance
Performance wise, HTC Desire is powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor. This phone supports multitasking and gaming without any freezes and hiccups. No time lag was found while switching between apps, or playing heavy graphic games, but the phone becomes little warm after long gaming sessions. This phone has an internal memory of 8GB with the support of external memory source, extendable upto 128GB. The phone has a RAM of 1.5GB.
HTC Desire 816 has an amazing sound quality. The front speakers offers clear and powerful sound. Other than this, the phone supports Bluetooth 4.0. The most amazing thing about the phone is its battery. It has a 2600mAh battery.
Issues
There are some of the issues which I felt. If the user is trying to capture an image using rear camera, there is no provision in front of the user to click that picture. This phone must be provided with a special camera button. Other issue is the inserting of the Nano Sim Card. It was very difficult to adjust the Nano Sim Card at its place. The size of the screen is good enough for watching movies, playing games, using other applications, but according to me the brightness level of the phone is not up to the mark.
