Microsoft has planned to release a major update to the Xbox Live dashboard, called “Social”, on December 6, 2011. This will essentially replace “My Xbox”. In this regard, Denny Atkin of Microsoft assures that this change will bring in better result, so it is needless to fear about the change. “My Xbox” is being replaced with Xbox Live dashboard with a significant update that will make it easier to view what friends are doing on Xbox life.
This new feature will give you access to the new Beacons feature, which will allow you to tag games that you want to play with other gamers. This will also serve as a social networking platform on Xbox Live. To make this transition smooth, Microsoft will drop you directly onto the new page upon signing into Xbox.com.
While signing in the account, a group of new “Metro” titles will appear at the top of the page, featuring new upcoming new releases, previews, live events. There will also be a column called “Friends” where you will be able to see what your gaming buddies are doing, who’s playing what game, which game has been uploaded by whom, etc.
In addition to all these, there will be another page called “Activity” page, which can not only be used to check off upto three games that you want to play with other gamers, but can also be customized their requests as well. The section of sending and receiving messages has also been updated. So friends can now quickly check each other’s activity through the message section.
Aside from all these, FiOS customers will be also be able to access to several TV channels through the Xbox 360. According to Microsoft, by the end of the year, 40 other TV and entertainment providers will be offering content on Xbox Live.

With Microsoft’s acquisition of Skype and the Kinect I would love to see Video Chat being a standard feature of the Xbox360 with Kinect+Skype integration.

I have to agree with you. Actually even my five year old son would want to have one when we checked it in a mall near our place. Its very tempting for me to buy one but I preferred not to since for sure it will affect my son’s study habit.

Many gamers debated with regard to the best gaming console in this generation. At first, the debate was between Saga and Nintendo. But by the time Saga was kicked off the market, the competition to the top was among Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. In my opinion, Nothing beats Xbox 360. It is durable and deliver more advanced experiences to gamers. It may not win in every category but still as a whole it’s way better compared to other competitors.

Once upon a time joysticks were great to look then wireless joysticks were there but now the sensor motion is taking over all the gaming consoles and the joysticks.

There are two choice for me to choose: PlayStation 4 and the Xbox one. I notice that the Microsof’s Xbox one is really a better video gaming console successor to the 360 version. I am going to buy the upcoming first-person shooter game Titanfall and give it a try.
